Lamborghini’s V12 engine will dwell on nicely past 2030
Lamborghini has stated that the V12 engine will keep in manufacturing nicely past 2030.
“The horizon for us is much more than 2030 now,” Matteo Ortenzi, Product Line Director at Lamborghini, stated on the unveiling of the Fenomeno at The Quail.

The hybrid system developed for the Revuelto allowed Lamborghini to retain the V12 engine. “This enables us to adjust to the laws, particularly in CO2 and emissions, which might be troublesome to adjust to if we didn’t have this sort of expertise,” Ortenzi stated.
Earlier, Lamborghini had stated that it was adjusting its EV plans. Initially, the supercar maker was aiming to launch its first EV, the Lanzador, in 2028, adopted by the Urus EV in 2029. The latter has now been pushed to 2035, whereas the Lanzador may shift to a plug-in hybrid.
