Ford Mustang GTD gunning for Nurburgring glory; Can it beat the ZR1X?
There are rumours that the Ford Mustang GTD might need crushed the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X’s Nurburgring lap time.
A video shared by StatesideSupercars on YouTube exhibits two Mustang GTDs lapping the ‘Ring at excessive pace. One among them is an EU-spec automobile, whereas the opposite is a US-spec machine. It’s stated that the quickest lap was clocked at 6 min 41.74 seconds.

If true, it will put the Mustang GTD solely a second shy of the Mercedes-AMG One’s lap time. Crucially, it’s approach faster than the Corvette ZR1X’s time of 6 min 49.275 seconds.
