$142 million Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR casually driving in Monaco


A 1954 Mercedes W196 R Streamliner was bought at public sale for $54 million earlier this month. However it’s not at all the most costly automobile ever bought. That title goes to the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Ulenhaut Coupe.
Solely two of those basic race vehicles exist, out of which one was reportedly bought at public sale in 2022 for $142 million. Now, you’ll count on such a useful automobile to be tucked away in a storage or a museum. That’s not the case with this automobile, although.
